I’m the bride, too, but I’m not spending big money on shoes. I just went to the local mall, and got shoes. Even then, I think I’m going to wear flats, because, let’s face it, I’m going to be around all day. And as far as a purse, I wouldn’t get one. What are you going to put in it? Lipstick is understandable, but that’s what bridesmaids are for. It would just get lost. I hope my personal opinion helped.
I didn’t want a pair of white shoes so I looked at silver and gold shoes. However, I ended up buying a beautiful pair of Anne Klein white satin shoes that were on sale. They had a little dirt on them so I received a further discount. A $248 dollar pair of shoes cost me $70 plus another $8 to have them cleaned at shoe repair shop. They cleaned perfectly. They were very comfortable despite that I chose a 3″ slingback. I would look for sales if you have time. I have always meant to have my shoes dyed so I could wear them again but never have. My purse was my grandmother’s that I borrowed from my mom. My dress and shoes were new, my purse was borrowed and my underwear was blue!

I do not see a reason to have a purse, if you are the bride. The only think you should be holding during your ceremony, is your flowers.

Look at Bellissima bridal shoes or my glass slipper. I am using touch ups for my wedding. They are really comfortable and good looking.
