I live in Florence and got my wedding dress made at La Sposa di Firenze, Via Ponte alle Mosse, 136/r, tel: 055.367.896. They did a fabulous job and have many accessories.

Although, unless you are dying to have shoes from a bridal store, I would personally recommend avoiding them to buy shoes. First of all, anything with the word bridal attached to it, automatically costs more. Secondly, they are not always the most comfortable or fashionable shoes sold at these stores (most dresses cover the shoes).

If you want to go all out, I would recommend buying a fancy pair of sandals or heels from a design — which you don’t necessarily have to do in Florence, although there are plenty of designer shoe stores here. Better yet, buy a pair of comfortable and inexpensive dress shoes to go under your dress — your feet with thank you after being on them all day long.

P.S. I bought my comfy pumps in the U.S. at a discount store — good brand and I paid $10 on super discount. Oh yeah, and they were blue (light) so there was my Something Blue.
