Plus, stockings are hard to take off and are also EXTREMELY hot! And, as a bride you will certainly be dancing and let me tell you, it does get hot on the dance floor!
So I advise you to not wear the stockings even though they match, it would look ridiculous with open-toed shoes because you would see the hem.
Instead, get a French manicure done on your toes or paint them a nice color – much more appealing!

If it were me, I wouldn’t want to wear the “sexy” lingerie for hours under my wedding dress; I would save it for the honeymoon destination (er, hotel room). Under my dress, I would want the most comfortable (er, figure-flattering, whichever was necessary) undergarments possible.
As for wearing stockings with open-toe shoes… as long as there isn’t a seam and/or reinforced toe or whatev.
Stockings with open toes is considered ok right now, check out Vogue. How long is your wedding dress, will anyone be seeing your toes anyway? If your wedding dress is floor length it doesn’t really matter what you do, I had a friend who wore flipflops under her wedding dress just because no one could see them!
The lace up stocking and everything might get uncomfortable all day though, keep that in mind.
P.S. Give your husband to be the heads-up that you don’t want him tossing your special garter, buy a cheap one to throw during the reception (if you’re doing that) and make sure he gets the right one!

No stockings with open toe. Get a little self tanning cream if you have paler skin (NOT TOO TAN!) Like the others said, get a pedicure, with a french manicure or a creamy ivory polish. No bright colors! Takes away from your shoes and dress. Not right for a wedding dress.
You can get a sexy white dress for when you leave the reception. You can wear the stockings/garter then, with closed toe high pumps. Then give your honey a quick looksee just before leaving the place!

Depending on how good the stockings that you got are… you could wear them from your wedding to the bed =)
I would prefer my partner to do wear them all day (we aren’t married yet) but I think it would be hot knowing what’s underneath her dress and looking forward to it that special night!
Make sure they are transparent stockings with a nice shine to them. Also, the more expensive ones will last longer and have less chance of ‘running’. Try and go for sheer toe/sandal foot stockings because you can get away with open toe shoes that way!
